I started my first business straight out of grad school. For eight years I ran a geospatial consulting practice — landing government contracts, teaching at university, and figuring everything out as I went. Eventually, I realized that without a plan, I was on the word-of-mouth rollercoaster. And when my second child arrived, it was time to get off the ride.
My next move was running operations at a startup incubator, working alongside brilliant entrepreneurs every day. That’s when the lightbulb went off. Every single one of them — regardless of their industry or background — was wrestling with the same questions, the same challenges, the same isolation I’d faced.
In 2020, I made the decision to invest in an ActionCOACH franchise and earn my coaching certification. Now I get to help local business owners build something that actually works — with more profit, more time, and less guesswork.
